With funding from SIDA and support from Plan International, SERAC-Bangladesh has initiated the implementation of the project titled “Future Leaders: Empowering and Building Resilience of Girls and Youths (Space to Lead)”. This project is carried out in two upazilas Barguna Sadar and Patharghata within the Barguna district of Barisal Division.

The initiative focuses on critical development areas, including sexual and reproductive health (SRHR), youth economic empowerment, early childhood development, and education. Furthermore, the framework integrates child and youth leadership, gender protection, climate change resilience, and humanitarian assistance to create a holistic support system for the community.

A core component of the project involves providing skill development, upskilling, and reskilling opportunities for household members. These training programs are specifically tailored toward modern and sustainable fields such as green jobs, climate-smart agriculture, and ICT, ensuring long-term economic resilience for the targeted families.
