Bangladesh 9th National Youth Conference on Family Planning (BNYCFP 2024)

We are excited to announce that the Bangladesh 9th National Youth Conference on Family Planning (BNYCFP 2024) will take place from October 29-30, 2024, marking yet another milestone in empowering youth to take action on family planning and reproductive health. Since its inception, the BNYCFP has been the largest youth-focused annual event on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) in Bangladesh.

A Legacy of Advocacy and Action

SERAC-Bangladesh initiated the first-ever Bangladesh National Youth Conference on Family Planning (BNYCFP 2016) on September 6, 2016, and since then, the event has grown to be a pivotal platform for empowering youth. Over the past eight years, we’ve seen thousands of young advocates, policymakers, and SRHR professionals come together to foster dialogue, share innovations, and commit to advancing youth health rights.

The previous conferences (BNYCFP2017 to BNYCFP2022) have set a strong foundation, and following the huge success of the 8th National Youth Conference in 2023, we are thrilled to bring this year’s event back with even more impactful sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities.

In collaboration with the USAID’s Adolescent Health Activity, Global Affairs Canada, Bangladesh Youth Health Action Network (BYHAN)Coalition of Youth Organizations in Bangladesh (CYOB), FP2030, Global Financing Facility, HealthBridge Foundation, Ipas, Jhpiego, Mott MacDonald Inc, Marie Stopes Bangladesh, Pathfinder International, Share-net Bangladesh, Youth Coalition for Climate Justice, UNICEF, and UNFPASERAC-Bangladesh is hosting this in-person event with an aim to engage adolescent champions and youth leaders from across Bangladesh, amplifying their voices on sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), mental health, and fostering connections with global leaders to generate commitments for youth and evaluate actions that prioritize young people’s health and rights.

What to Expect at BNYCFP 2024

This year’s conference is expected to attract over 500 National Youth Delegates from across Bangladesh. The event will provide a unique opportunity for young people, policymakers, and stakeholders to engage in meaningful conversations around SRHR, family planning, climate action, and gender equality.

Unlike previous years, BNYCFP 2024 will be an in-person-only event. This year, no virtual attendance will be available, making it essential to register as an in-person delegate to take part in the exciting sessions and discussions.

High-Level Participation

BNYCFP 2024 will be attended by high-profile leaders, including ministers, Members of Parliament (MPs), senior government officials from various ministries, UN representatives, health experts, academics, NGOs, and youth leaders. Their collective expertise and commitment will drive important discussions on how we can strengthen family planning and SRHR efforts in Bangladesh and beyond.
