SERAC-Bangladesh organized the Bangladesh 1st National Youth Conference on Family Planning (BNYCFP 2016) on September 6, 2016, and it was followed by three other successful conferences (BNYCFP2017, BNYCFP2018, BNYCFP2019) in Dhaka claiming to be the largest youth-focused annual event on SRHR in the country.

Following the huge successes in the past four seasons of this National Youth Conference focusing on family planning, SRHR, and health issues of young people in 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019, we are delighted to announce the Bangladesh 5th National Youth Conference on Family Planning this year on October 16-17, 2020 in Dhaka and virtually.

In partnership with the UKAID, Bangladesh Youth Health Action Network (BYHAN), Coalition of Youth Organizations in Bangladesh (CYOB), Jhpiego, Marie Stopes Bangladesh, Options Consultancy Services Ltd, Pathfinder International, Plan International Bangladesh, Population Services and Training Center, Right Here Right Now (RHRN) Bangladesh, UBR Bangladesh Alliance, UKAID, and UNFPA Bangladesh; SERAC-Bangladesh is hosting this hybrid (in-person & virtual) conference to strengthen a sustainable platform for young active advocates to learn and share experiences and renew commitment on different key dialogues on young people’s sexual and reproductive health and rights in alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals 3 and 5. About 500 young people have registered to join as National Youth Delegates registered by September 15, 2020, from across the country who are affiliated with a youth organization/educational institution/SRHR and Family Planning organization.

The conference is expected to be attended by Ministers, MPs, high-level government officials from multiple ministries and departments, UN officials, national and international health experts, academicians, NGOs, advocates, and active youth representatives from across the country.
