NutriTeens: Fueling Futures
Introducing NutriTeens: Fueling Futures Program by SERAC-Bangladesh!
This innovative initiative is designed to empower adolescents with the knowledge and tools they need to make informed choices about their nutrition, setting them on a path towards a healthier and brighter future.
Why NutriTeens?
Because adolescence is a critical period of growth and development, yet many young people lack access to accurate information about nutrition. According to recent data from the Bangladesh Demographic and Health Survey, malnutrition remains a significant issue among adolescents, with a prevalence of underweight and stunting at 22.4% and 20.9% respectively. This highlights the urgent need for targeted interventions to address nutritional deficiencies and promote healthy eating habits among this vulnerable population.
NutriTeens aims to fill this gap by providing comprehensive education on nutrition and its impact on overall health and well-being. Through interactive workshops, engaging talk shows, informative resources, community based programs, and social behavior change communication, participants will learn about the importance of balanced diets, the role of nutrients in supporting growth and development, and practical strategies for making healthy food choices.
Supported by experienced nutritionists and youth advocates, NutriTeens is not just a program—it’s a movement towards a healthier future for Bangladesh’s adolescents. Join us as we empower the next generation to fuel their futures with nutrition knowledge and vitality!
