SERAC is working to promote UN sustainable development goals (SDGs) 11 (sustainable cities and communities), 13 (climate action), 14 (life below water), 15 (life on land).

SERAC-Bangladesh as a leading youth organization in Bangladesh initiated the largest youth-led climate justice movement in Bangladesh, Youth Coalition for Climate Justice (YCCJ). It also serves as a secretariat of this coalition. SERAC-Bangladesh has been working on power shifting with youth leadership and in connection to global climate talk SERAC-Bangladesh Executive Director S M Shaikat participated in the Global Power Shift by 350.org in Istanbul in 2013.

SERAC is also involved in local level environment and climate justice matters including promoting the youth for raising voices for climate justice and environmental sustainability.
