To strengthen grassroots leadership, SERAC-Bangladesh facilitated nine meetings with Community Action Group (CAG) volunteers on sexual and reproductive health (SRH) issues. A total of 99 volunteers participated from Hawaygoli, Khilgaon, Mugda, Maniknagar, Mirpur-1, Madresha Market, Korail Bow Bazar, Niketon Bazar, and Haq Bazar.
The CAG meetings provided a platform for volunteers to deepen their knowledge on SRHR, menstrual regulation (MR), post-abortion care (PAC), family planning, and gender-based violence (GBV). The sessions also encouraged participants to share field-level challenges and collectively explore solutions to improve service access and community engagement.
The meetings not only strengthened participants’ understanding of SRH issues but also built solidarity among volunteers. They emerged with greater confidence to advocate for reproductive health, challenge harmful norms, and support their communities through peer education and mobilization.
