From 14 to 23 October 2025, SERAC-Bangladesh organized 48 community awareness sessions under the #ISRHRD initiative, engaging youth and community members across Dhaka South and North City Corporations. Sessions were held in multiple locations, including Shipahibag Bazar, Alubazar, Arifabad Housing, South Manda, Jenava Camp, Paikpara, Hazaribag, Bashabo, Bazarpara
Gabtoly, Mazar Road, Maniknagar, Uttar Badda, Katasur, Block D Mirpur-12, Mirpur-13, Madartak, Vatara, Rayar Bazar Baroykhali, Kamrangirchor, Askona, Baunia, Islambag, West Shwrapara, Pakuriya, Demra, Korail T&T, Wirless Haque Bazar, Faydabad, Nobinagar, Zia Shoroni, Nobodoy Bazar, Nobodoy Housing, Abu Said Bazar, Duaripara, Block C Mirpur-10, West Vasantak, Shipahibag Tempustand, Dholpur, Mirhazirbag Kacha Bazar, Shajahanpur North, and South Pirarbag.
Facilitated by youth volunteers and SBCC officers, the sessions provided essential information on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), fostering dialogue, awareness, and reaching 619 community members.
This initiative, implemented in collaboration with Ipas Bangladesh and supported by Global Affairs Canada through the HealthBridge Foundation of Canada, empowered youth volunteers to act as community educators, promoting informed, inclusive, and proactive communities while strengthening youth leadership in health and rights advocacy.
