In a world where stories shape perspectives and inspire social change, visual storytelling has emerged as a powerful tool for advocacy and empowerment. Through its innovative Community Photovoice initiative, SERAC-Bangladesh is giving voice to the unheard and bringing community realities into the spotlight.
Implemented in collaboration with Ipas Bangladesh and supported by Global Affairs Canada through the HealthBridge Foundation of Canada under the ISRHRD project, the exhibition served as a dynamic platform to address pressing Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) challenges.
Held on February 26–27, 2026, at Beguntila (Mirpur-12) and City Polly (Dholpur, Jatrabari), the exhibition celebrated resilience, hope, and community strength. Youth leaders played a central role, capturing authentic community experiences through photography and presenting stories that reflect everyday struggles and aspirations related to SRHR.
Each photograph told a story highlighting barriers to healthcare access, social stigma, gender inequality, and the need for youth-friendly health services.
Beyond artistic expression, the exhibition encouraged meaningful conversations among community members, healthcare stakeholders, and decision-makers.
The Community Photovoice Exhibition stands as a testament to the transformative power of youth-centered advocacy. By placing young voices at the heart of storytelling, the initiative continues to promote dignity, awareness, and equitable access to health rights.
