On 28 February, the Rajshahi Urban Youth Council, in collaboration with SERAC-Bangladesh, hosted a vibrant session of Peace Adda, bringing together young people to discuss important social issues and explore peaceful solutions. The event created a safe and open space for youth to share their perspectives and ideas for positive change in their communities.
During the session, participants discussed a range of topics. Many expressed their willingness to contribute to the nation through meaningful actions, highlighting the power of youth commitment. The discussion also focused on how available resources could be better used to support vulnerable communities, especially those in need during challenging times.
Another key topic was youth-related social challenges, including drug addiction among children and the rise of teenage gangs. Participants explored practical steps to address these issues and prevent harm within their communities. Safety during festivals was also emphasized, particularly during Eid celebrations, where youth stressed the importance of preventing accidents and promoting responsible behavior.
The dialogue covered many other concerns, reflecting the energy, awareness, and social responsibility of Rajshahi’s young population. By hosting Peace Adda, SERAC-Bangladesh and the Rajshahi Urban Youth Council are creating spaces for reflection, dialogue, and action, encouraging youth to turn ideas into initiatives that promote peace, safety, and harmony in society.
