Civic Circle: Empowering Youth for Active Civic Engagement

To mark International Day of Democracy, SERAC-Bangladesh is organizing a Civic Circle to create an open and inclusive space for young people to exchange ideas, share perspectives, and reflect on their role in strengthening democracy.

The Civic Circle will focus on key aspects of civic rights, civic engagement, civic responsibility, civic education, digital democracy, and democratic transparency, encouraging young people to better understand their rights and responsibilities and explore meaningful ways to participate in civic life both online and offline.

Through dialogue and peer-to-peer exchange, the session will highlight the importance of youth participation in civic activities and decision-making processes, while exploring how young people can promote transparency, accountability, informed digital participation, and responsible citizenship.

The session will encourage young people to become informed, responsible, and active citizens who can contribute to more transparent, inclusive, participatory, and digitally empowered democratic spaces in their communities and society.
