We are delighted to share that SM Shaikat, Executive Director of SERAC-Bangladesh, has been selected as a member of the 2025 Goldin Global Fellows cohort.
This highly regarded, year-long global leadership program brings together 22 grassroots leaders from across the world who are working to advance social justice, strengthen communities, and lead transformative change. As part of the fellowship, participants engage in a Community of Practice—a collaborative learning space designed to amplify local solutions through shared knowledge and global solidarity.
SM Shaikat’s selection is a recognition of his long-standing leadership in youth development, civic engagement, public health advocacy, and policy change in Bangladesh. Through this opportunity, he will collaborate with a diverse group of fellows to explore strategies that center local wisdom and promote community-driven action.
The fellowship offers an important platform to exchange ideas with fellow leaders, co-create new initiatives, and bring fresh perspectives to SERAC’s ongoing work. It also reinforces our collective commitment to building inclusive, rights-based development that starts from the ground up.
SERAC-Bangladesh congratulates SM Shaikat on this achievement and looks forward to the experiences, partnerships, and insights that will emerge throughout the 2025 Goldin Global Fellows program.
