SERAC-Bangladesh and Jhpiego have taken an exciting step forward by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen their collaboration in advancing sexual and reproductive health (SRH) and youth health initiatives across Bangladesh.
The agreement was signed by SERAC’s Executive Director, SM Shaikat, and Jhpiego’s Country Lead, Susanto Dobey. During the signing event, both organizations reflected on their shared history of working together on youth and SRHR initiatives, including their significant contributions to the Bangladesh National Youth Conference on Family Planning over the years. While they have partnered informally in the past, this marks the first time their collaboration has been formalized through an MoU.
The ceremony also highlighted the beginning of a new chapter, with discussions on exciting possibilities for future projects. The event was attended by key representatives from both organizations, including Md. Salim Miah (Deputy Director, Program), Md. Emran Hossain (Deputy Director, Finance & Admin), and Ruhiyat Tasnim (Associate Program Development Officer) from SERAC-Bangladesh , as well as Dr. Gazi Md. Rezaul Karim (Program Director, SRHR), Dr. Sharmin Jahan (FP Coordinator) and Dr. Syed Mohammad Munavir (Senior Technical Specialist) from Jhpiego Bangladesh and other officials
