On October 26, 2022 a training on Media Literacy, Dialogue, and Peacebuilding was held at Conference Room, Center on Budget and Policy, Dhaka. The training was facilitated by Professor of Governance and Politics, Department of Development Studies, University of Dhaka, Dr. Kazi Maruful Islam, Executive Director of SERAC-Bangladesh S M Shaikat, Youth Engagement and Peacebuilding Specialist Md. Sariful Islam, Mahmudul Hasan from UNDP Bangladesh, CPP, PCI, Security Specialist at Chemonics International ASM FASI UDDIN and attended by the students of the University of Dhaka.
Following this, a social media campaign will be organized on fact checking to counter religious fake news on social media. It will help the targeted social media users to identify misinformation, disinformation and fabricated news that can trigger religious violence. The campaign will put special focus on inter-religious dialogue, fact checking, peacebuilding.
