A person’s childhood is the most beautiful and foundational period of their life, a time when they absorb everything around them to shape who they will become. Recognising that true education should never be a burden, SERAC-Bangladesh runs the ‘DreamWings‘ project, a dedicated initiative that replaces traditional, rigid memorization with the power of ‘edutainment’. Across the camps of Mirpur, the children we work with inspire us daily with their resilient smiles and unique stories of strength. By embracing a holistic approach that nurtures both the hearts and minds of these young learners, we aim to transform everyday classrooms into a joyful adventure of discovery. Our mission is to replace doubt and hesitation with a vibrant sense of self-belief, giving these amazing children the complete freedom to create, play, and learn without limits.
The momentum of this journey was in full swing throughout June. The DreamWings team successfully conducted progressive and highly impactful sessions across multiple educational centers on the ground. We celebrated a major milestone by completing the 3rd session at Nizamuddin Memorial Pre-School (Branch 2, 12 Kurmitola Camp, Chandu Nehari) in Mirpur-12. Meanwhile, we advanced even further by successfully conducting the 4th session at Al Aqsa Model Academy (Paris Road, Mirpur-11).

Our recent sessions beautifully blended crucial life lessons with pure joy through our signature ‘Edutainment’ model. To instil essential health and social habits, the children watched Sisimpur’s “Cover Your Mouth When You Sneeze” to master coughing etiquette, and explored teamwork through “Let’s Work Together”. Meena Cartoon’s classic episode “Raju Did All of Meena’s Work” was used to gently introduce the concepts of helping hands and gender equality in a relatable way. The classrooms were also filled with laughter during Disney’s classic animation “The Hockey Champ” and active dancing to the timeless rhythm of the rhyme “Ringa Ringa Roses.”
Beyond the screen, practical, hands-on learning took center stage. Under the specialized guidance of Miss Mun, the children dived into a Montessori Practical Life exercise, “Pouring Water” an activity specifically designed to build patience, deep focus, and fine motor skills. To promote physical coordination and body awareness, they also participated in the playful action rhyme “Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes”, followed by calming breathing exercises to help them channel their energy positively and find emotional grounding.

Looking ahead, the DreamWings curriculum is expanding to address critical life boundaries and creative development. In our upcoming sessions, we will introduce deeply sensitive and vital safety lessons on ‘Good Touch and Bad Touch’ awareness to ensure every child understands their personal boundaries. To nurture their inner artists, we are also bringing in interactive Art and Painting workshops, alongside the intricate craft of ‘Origami’ (the beautiful art of paper folding), and engaging lessons on identifying ‘Body Parts’ to keep this journey of discovery going. The core mission of the ‘DreamWings’ project is to cultivate an environment where learning happens naturally through edutainment and playful engagement. Our primary objective is to equip these children with essential skills spanning Montessori practical life exercises, language development, sensorial refinement, and cultural awareness. By transforming traditional education into an interactive journey, we ensure they absorb lifelong habits organically. We firmly believe that when provided with real-world skills, a supportive environment, and the right guidance, these amazing young minds can spread their wings and soar to infinite heights.
