SERAC-Bangladesh is a youth-focused non-governmental organization dedicated to advancing public health, education, human rights, and sustainable development. We are seeking a dynamic, committed, and qualified individual to join our team as an Associate Finance & Admin Officer.
Key Responsibilities
Finance & Accounts
- Maintain accounts in compliance with applicable accounting standards and organizational policies.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income & expenditure, receipts & payments, and bank reconciliations.
- Assist in budget preparation, monitoring, and reporting for projects and organizational operations.
- Ensure proper fund management, record-keeping, and timely disbursement of payments.
- Prepare financial plans/fund requests/cash calls for projects.
- Ensure donor compliance in financial transactions, HR, and program activities.
- Verify bills/invoices against relevant documents before processing payments.
- Keep updated records of funds/expenditures and provide analytical reports to management.
- Maintain all accounts-related books and documents (cashbook, bank book, ledger, subsidiary ledger, etc.).
- Prepare, update, and preserve financial files, documentation, and databases.
Administration
- Support day-to-day administrative operations, including procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
- Ensure procurement processes follow organizational and donor compliance standards.
- Liaise with banks, vendors, and stakeholders as required.
- Assist in organizing meetings, workshops, and events.
- Provide administrative support to project teams for smooth operations.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare expense summaries, identify deviations, and recommend solutions to management.
- Analyze budget expenditures and prepare financial reports for project reporting.
- Assist and guide staff on financial and administrative compliance issues.
- Coordinate with bank authorities for financial matters.
Educational Requirements
- MBA / Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting from a UGC-approved university.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in finance, accounting, and administration (preferably in NGO/Development organizations).
Additional Requirements
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially MS Excel) and accounting software.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: Negotiable (based on qualifications and experience)
