This project aims to ensure meaningful participation of young people representing different demographic groups in the national discourse of the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs) and ICPD Programme of Action highlighting a call for responding to the voices of young people including diverse people with sexual orientation and gender identity and expression-SOGIE by implementing those through the inclusion of youths in policy dialogues, negotiations, and agenda.
It will galvanize our ongoing course of advocacy, and shape into a stronger relationship between government and CSOs especially youth advocates in Bangladesh by developing their capacity to engage and influence the policy statements and securing places on the government delegation to key global events including CSW, CPD, UN General Assembly, and HPLF.
The process will be supported by hosting meetings with ministries and CSOs, participating in national, regional, and international events, and developing advocacy and communication materials to convey messages focusing on implementation of SDGs in the light of ICPD and Beyond agenda, especially of SDGs 3 &5 at the national level.
The approach will be to focus on ‘No one is left behind’ and prioritizing the inclusiveness of young people from diverse demographic groups. It shall also advocate engaging the government with CSOs working on SRHR and SDGs implementation to receive proper inputs so that it could frame policy recommendations for Young People at the global negotiation forums.
Geographic target area: All 8 (Eight) divisions of Bangladesh
