Following remarkable accomplishments across the past 6 seasons of this annual event throughout 2016 to 2021, SERAC-Bangladesh together with the Directorate General of Family Planning, Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, USAID, Bangladesh Youth Health Action Network (BYHAN), Coalition of Youth Organizations in Bangladesh (CYOB), Jhpiego, Marie Stopes Bangladesh, Pathfinder International, UNFPA Bangladesh, is going to host the Bangladesh 7th National Youth Conference on Family Planning on October 11-12, 2022 in Dhaka, maintaining social distance and virtually in an online platform with the Tagline “Innovate. Engage. Impact” where hundreds of young people, policy makers, and international speakers are expected to join in-person and virtually.
This year’s conference is focusing on the upcoming International Conference on Family Planning 2022 to be held in Thailand in November, 2022. This national level youth convening will link young people’s expectations and recommendations around FP2030, and local level family planning and SRHR goals showcasing grassroot level successes of advocacy and program implementation. The conference’s focused agenda will encompass variety of issues including but not limited to sexual, and reproductive health and rights, urban health, adolescent friendly services, and accounting for the policy commitments made in the past years by national and local level policy and decision makers.
Ministers, parliamentarians, high level government officials, and youth leaders will share the conference sessions with advocates, researchers, academicians, and CSO leaders.
