Youth Connect: Youth Entrepreneurship Development Project

Over the next two years, the Youth Connect: Youth Entrepreneurship Development Project will be implemented in Dinajpur and Rangpur districts, funded by British Council in partnership with Democracywatch. The initiative is designed to equip young people with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities to actively engage in entrepreneurship, particularly green and climate-smart ventures that promote sustainable development.
By fostering entrepreneurial skills, providing mentorship, and offering access to resources, the project empowers youth to develop sustainable, community-driven business solutions that tackle local challenges such as climate change adaptation and economic resilience. Through guidance from local mentors, sectoral experts, and the Department of Youth Development, participants will translate innovative ideas into viable ventures that benefit both individuals and their communities.
A core element of the project is to foster inclusive dialogue and collaboration between young leaders, local government, and sector experts on entrepreneurship. This ensures meaningful youth participation in policy discussions and enables them to co-create solutions that contribute to Bangladesh’s economic and sustainable development.
Through this holistic, youth-led approach, the project directly connects its objectives-skills development, sustainable business creation, and policy engagement-to measurable actions and outcomes. By empowering youth as innovators and community leaders, the initiative aims to achieve individual, community, and systemic transformation, paving the way for a resilient and economically empowered Bangladesh.
