In a world where stories can inspire change, empower individuals, and build bridges across communities, SERAC-Bangladesh has taken a groundbreaking step to amplify the voices of the unheard. In collaboration with #IpasBangladesh and under the #ISRHRD project, funded by Global Affairs Canada through HealthBridge Foundation of Canada, the Community Photovoice Exhibition became a transformative platform showcasing the power of visual storytelling to address critical sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) issues.
This extraordinary event was not merely an exhibition but a celebration of resilience, determination, and hope, held at Mohammadpur Slum on 23rd of December 2024. Through the lens of youth leaders, it brought to light the lived experiences of individuals and communities navigating challenges related to SRHR. In the Community Photovoice Exhibition, young leaders were at the forefront of this storytelling journey. They used the medium of photography to document the intricacies of SRHR issues within their communities, creating a vivid tapestry of struggles and triumphs.
Each youth leader displayed at the exhibition was a window into the world of its creator, a youth leader dedicated to capturing the nuances of SRHR challenges faced by their community. From barriers to accessing reproductive health services to stigmas surrounding menstrual health and contraception, the stories reflected the diverse and complex realities of the participants.
