The ‘Bangladesh Youth Mock Parliament’ is one of the successful programs towards realizing the right to food (R2F) through engaging young people, who will be future leaders. Bangladesh Youth Mock Parliament is a creative approach to draw/catch the attention of the policymakers.
SERAC-Bangladesh is proud to co-organize the 14th session of the Bangladesh Youth Mock Parliament (BYMP), which will be held on May 20, 2024, at the Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban of the University of Dhaka. The BYMP is an innovative program initiated by Youth Against Hunger and other organizers aimed at fostering the engagement of youth in realizing the right to food (R2F) and achieving the SDGs. Since its inception, BYMP has captured policymakers’ attention by simulating the legislative process and involving youth in meaningful discussions.
Following the grand success of its previous sessions, the BYMP has evolved into a platform where young people can voice their opinions and contribute to national and global advocacy. The initial sessions focused on the theme of the right to food, while subsequent sessions expanded to include the right to work, an integral component of the R2F framework.
With its commitment to nutrition and youth empowerment, SERAC-Bangladesh is honored to partner in organizing this year’s event. Our collaboration underscores the importance of collective action in addressing critical issues like nutrition and food security.
Join us on May 20, 2024, at the Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban of the University of Dhaka and be a part of this transformative journey!
