SERAC-Bangladesh has selected youth leaders from 120 community action groups (CAGs) under Improving SRHR in Dhaka project based on their community engagement capacity, volunteer management skills, access to internet, geographical knowledge and a clear understanding of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV).
SERAC has organized 1 batch orientation of community youth leaders on awareness raising on SRH issues in October 2025. Each batch includes 21 youth leaders from 10 different areas. This orientation is aimed at capacity development of the youth leaders on family planning (FP), Post abortion care (PAC), demo practice on conducting community sessions, and community engagement strategies. The project is technically supported by Ipas Bangladesh and funded by Global Affairs Canada via HealthBridge Foundation of Canada.
