On June 13, young changemakers from across Dhaka came together for “Peace Adda”, a youth-led platform curated by SERAC-Bangladesh to foster open dialogue, critical reflection, and collaborative learning. The session focused on key civic themes—tolerance, rights, and the urgent need for civic education in shaping active and responsible citizenship. This interactive adda provided a safe, inclusive space where participants exchanged personal stories, lived realities, and diverse perspectives. The conversation not only highlighted challenges but also sparked hope and solutions grounded in empathy, mutual respect, and collective action.

🎙️ Key Takeaways from the Discussion:

  • Civic education is vital to building awareness, accountability, and democratic participation.
  • Tolerance must be practiced, not just preached—uniting people across differences and fostering coexistence.
  • Understanding rights and responsibilities is essential for creating just, inclusive communities.
  • Youth leadership is key to driving peaceful, rights-based social transformation.

As stories unfolded, participants emphasized how young people can challenge injustice, foster community harmony, and uphold democratic values through conscious action and inclusive leadership.
