SERAC Bangladesh convened an exchange meeting with media representatives to discuss the “Access to SRHR for Young Women” project, supported by SAAF/International Planned Parenthood Federation.
SERAC-Bangladesh is implementing to enhance SRH services in Mymensingh Sadar Upazila. The project includes improvements at 12 public and private health centers, community campaigns, with an android mobile application and SBCC materials.
SM Shaikat, Executive Director, SERAC-Bangladesh; highlighted the need for accurate data and privacy protection in SRH service provision. He mentioned that comment boxes have been set up in 20 health centers to gather patient feedback to improve data collection practices.
Biplob Basak; emphasized the need for spreading awareness about the mobile app for accurate health information.
Md. Babul Hossain, inquired about extending the project to more health facilities.
Saiful Islam, opined about the monitoring of 10% bed provisions and data collection accuracy. He expressed hope for the project’s successful implementation to the community.
Niamul Kabir Sajal, suggested ensuring the accuracy of monthly reports and distributing leaflets to raise awareness about the project and health services.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the project’s goals and significance. Media professionals provided valuable input on how to increase the effectiveness and reach of the project. Emphasis was placed on the need for collaborative efforts to achieve the project’s objectives and enhance overall awareness and impact.
