To protect children from typhoid fever, the Government of Bangladesh is set to launch the Typhoid Vaccination Campaign 2025 under the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI). The campaign will officially begin on 12 October 2025, reaching children nationwide to ensure a healthier, typhoid-free future. 🩺💉

Ahead of the campaign, the National Advocacy Meeting on TCV Vaccination Campaign 2025 was held today, 07 October 2025. The event brought together key health sector leaders, policymakers, and development partners to strengthen collaboration and awareness efforts for the upcoming nationwide vaccination drive.
The meeting was attended by the Advisor and Directors of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Divisional Commissioners, and officials from WHO, UNICEF, SERAC-Bangladesh, and various other national and international organizations.
Representing SERAC-Bangladesh, Md. Kamran Mia, Network Officer, participated in the meeting and emphasized the importance of community engagement to ensure every child receives the vaccine.
As part of this campaign, one free dose of the typhoid vaccine will be administered to all children aged 9 months to under 15 years, including students from pre-primary to grade nine (or equivalent levels) across the country.
