Before moving to their community, they have received a one-day (9:00 am – 5:00 pm) orientation on sexual and reproductive health and Gender-based violence. SERAC has organized 100 batches of orientation till February 2024 and each batch includes 10 projonon shasthya bondhu of a particular area. Each batch of Projonon Shasthya Bondhu is called Community Action Group (CAG).

The project is technically supported by Ipas Bangladesh and funded by Global Affairs Canada via HealthBridge Foundation of Canada. The orientation aimed to orient the community action group on the project objectives, target people, project management, area, and knowledge about sexual and reproductive health and rights. Also, Humanity and Health Hygiene, SGBV, VCAT, Effective communication, Networking, and the use of social media are also topics of discussion of the orientation. The participants also make a work plan throughout the project time period with their peers during the orientation. Projonon Shasthya Bondhus feel motivated and express their determination to spread these learnings to their respected community after completion of the orientation.
