Field visit and Volunteer Identification

From November- 2021, SERAC Bangladesh has visited 4 PHCC and 2 CRHCC centers in 10 partnership areas including Mirpur, Mogbazar, Hazaribag, Mugda, Postogola, Salna, Dhalpur, Bashabo, Khilgaon, Pallabi and 4 non-partnership areas including Kamrangirchor, Ershadnagar, Salna, Bason-Gazipur under this intervention. We have gained knowledge about their structure and day-to-day activities, where we worked on GP selection as well as in the search of potential youths for the Community Action Group (CAG) formation. We have found some area-based facts due to their socio-economic conditions. We have observed socioeconomic conditions, volunteer and GP interested areas of the fields. Following the volunteer selection, an introduction meeting was held on those 10 areas with 100 volunteers on March 13 and 14, 2022.

Pallabi, Mirpur: From our visit, we finalized 2 general practitioners around the CRHCC and PHCC areas. Followed by the GP selection, we explored and identified the locality for CAG formation and got 20 enthusiastic volunteers. On March 14- 2022, we recognized them as a Community Action Group with the presence of community potential female members and influencers. 

Bashabo: From our visit, we finalized 1 general practitioner around the CRHCC area. Followed by the GP selection, we explored and identified the locality for CAG formation and got 10 enthusiastic volunteers. On March 14- 2022, we recognized them as a Community Action Group with the presence of community potential female members and influencers. 

Hazaribag: Following our visit, we selected 2 general practitioners in the CRHCC region. We examined and picked the location for CAG establishment after the GP selection and received 20 interested volunteers. We designated them as a Community Action Group with the presence of community prospective female members and influencers on March 13, 2022.

Kamrangirchor: Throughout our visit, we chose 1 general practitioner in the CRHCC zone. We examined and picked the location for CAG establishment after the GP selection and had 10 interested participants. We designated them as a Community Action Group with the presence of community prospective female members and influencers on March 13, 2022.

Pirerbag & Shewrapar: From our visit, we finalized 2 general practitioners around the CRHCC area. Followed by the GP selection, we explored and identified the locality for CAG formation and got 20 enthusiastic volunteers. On March 13 – 2022, we recognized them as a Community Action Group with the presence of community potential female members and influencers. 

Mogbazar: Throughout our visit, we chose 1 general practitioner in the CRHCC zone. We examined and picked the location for CAG establishment after the GP selection and had 10 interested participants. We designated them as a Community Action Group with the presence of community prospective female members and influencers on March 14, 2022.

Uttara: From our visit, we finalized 1 general practitioner around the CRHCC area. Followed by the GP selection, we explored and identified the locality for CAG formation and got 10 enthusiastic volunteers. On March 14- 2022, we recognized them as a Community Action Group with the presence of community potential female members and influencers. 

In a nutshell, through the site visit, we were able to select 10 general practitioners, including 6 female GP and 4 male GP. Furthermore, we reached above 350 volunteers for CAG formation. Among them 100 were selected who are energetic and skilled enough.
