In a society where Sexual and Reproductive healthcare services availability and accessibility remain a challenge, SERAC-Bangladesh was taking significant steps to bridge the gap by organizing Free Health Camps with technical support from Ipas Bangladesh and funded by Global Affairs Canada through the HealthBridge Foundation of Canada to celebrate International Women’s Day 2024 from 28th February to 3rd March with the theme “Inspire Inclusion” under Improving SRHR in Dhaka Project at 5 areas including Block-A, Block-D (Mirpur-12), Shipahibag Bazar (Khilgaon), Shahjahanpur (Mohammadpur), Solmaid Vatara.
Through our transformative Free Health Camps, led by compassionate General Practitioners and supported by dedicated volunteers, called ‘Projonon Shasthya Bondhu’, we strive to inspire inclusion by addressing the diverse healthcare needs of women from all walks of life.
Volunteers have organized the events on their own community and GPs have supported them in the health camps. In the spirit of “Inspire Inclusion,” volunteers played a crucial role in advocating for diversity and inclusivity within the Free Health Camps for the adolescent girls and young women especially. Creating an inclusive space for women to share their experiences and needs, fostering a sense of belonging. Ensuring that services are provided respectfully and confidentially of the backgrounds of the women they serve.
As we embrace the theme of “Inspire Inclusion,” SERAC-Bangladesh remains committed to creating a safe healthcare environment that respects, includes, and uplifts all women. By acknowledging and addressing the diverse needs of women, we contribute to a world where every woman feels valued and empowered in her pursuit of a healthy and fulfilling life. Together, let us continue to inspire inclusion and work towards a future where equality is not just celebrated but deeply embedded in the fabric of our communities.
