SERAC-Bangladesh with the support from the Directorate General of Family Planning (DGFP), and Pathfinder International under USAID Shukhi Jibon project school based connectivity campaigns are being organized to create concentrated behavior change among school adolescents, ensuring youth friendly services, SRHR and gender, MHM & Gender near 20 Adolescent-Friendly Health Care Centers in Dhaka, Narayanganj, Mymensingh and Netrokona districts.
Through the campaigns, the VPLs and service providers encourage students to visit the centers by informing them about the adolescent information, needs of adolescent menstrual health & services for adolescents by screening Puthi Path, followed by playing quizzes from discussion answered by the students. For this, appreciation gifts are presented to them.
Around 50 school campaigns with 5168 students took place from 24th march to 20th April 2022 with moderation of volunteer peer leader, service providers from AFHCs and SERAC-Bangladesh team. Other than that, four hundred school based connectivity outreaches will take place till December, 2022 in the surrounding areas and schools of the selected Adolescent Friendly Health Centers.
