School Based Connectivity Outreaches to Increase Presence of Adolescents to the AFHSCs

SERAC-Bangladesh under USAID Shukhi Jibon Project supported by Pathfinder International organized School based connectivity outreaches to create concentrated behavior change among school adolescents, ensuring youth friendly services, SRHR and gender, MHM & Gender near 20 Adolescent-Friendly Health Care Centers in Dhaka, Narayanganj, Mymensingh and Netrokona districts.

Through the campaigns, the VPLs and service providers encourage students to visit the centers by informing them about the adolescent information, needs of adolescent menstrual health & services for adolescents by screening Puthi, followed by playing quizzes from discussion answered by the students. For this, appreciation gifts and SBCC/IEC materials including SRHR/MHM/ AFHSC information are presented to them.

Around 100 school campaigns with 9754 students including 5363 are female and 4499 are male took place from August to October 2022 with moderation of volunteer peer leader, service providers from AFHCs and SERAC-Bangladesh Team.
